The microRNA the article mentions, microRNA-142 (miR-142), has shown up previously in at least one ME/CFS study. From 2014:

miR-142-5p was found to be upregulated. (It may have appeared in other studies as well, that one by Brenu was just the one I remembered offhand.)

@nandixon I remember that study, thanks for posting it.

A quick Pubmed scan is also showing miR-142 upregulated in autoimmune RA in a 2018 study that includes the therapy--celastrol:

And below is more information on celastrol. Looks like it may have significant anti-inflammatory effects.

To quote the above article: "Moreover, the ability of celastrol to pass the brain blood barrier makes this compound an attractive therapeutic option in brain tumors and brain metastasis ..."

Isn't the inability of NSAIDs etc. to cross the brain blood barrier what Jarred Younger has said is the big hurdle with using these agents to treat ME/CFS??

For whatever it's worth, this stuff is available on Amazon.
